Kelter

My personal Guardian of Ga'hoole Kelter is a barn owl with a rare mutation that causes his feather tips  and face to have blue streaks. 
He's shy, but friendly and very loyal to the lucky few he deems friend. 

Kelter isn't a guardian in fact he stumbled upon the great tree by sheer accident, just a young owlet wanting to see what was out beyond the sea. He arrived feathers in a ruffle and his wings spent with exhaustion landing along the coast in a heap. Soren found him while on patrol and Kelter stirred to find the older male looking down curiously at him. Kelter startled awake and tried to fly way but he was too tired from his flight. Soren reassured him that he meant the youth no harm and stood with him while he rested. 

Once Kelter was able to find his wings again Soren took him to the Tree of Ga'hoole, though Kelter looked very nervous and extremely strssed being around so many other owls of various species. The older barn owl took notice that othes were beginning to gather around and stare at the stranges oddly colored plumage. Kelter feeling more and more eyes on him began to chitter nervously and Soren called upon Twilight to use his large wings to shelter the smaller male from the curious on lookers. The two then took Kelter to meet the king Boron. 

Boron was intrigued by his markings, but did not press the youth for answers instead he put him in Soren's care to teach him about the tree and how things were done. The two quickly became like brothers and Soren wished deeply that he had shared this sort if bond with Kludd who had sided against him and joined the Pure Ones
